Apology Notice Regarding Partial Illustration Replacement
【最新更新】 2025/09/17 (Wed) 17:33
We have discovered that a certain illustration released in AnotherEidosR contained an element that violated our contractual agreements. This illustration has also been publicly available since April 2025 with the infringement present.
We sincerely apologize for these violations and will make the appropriate measure to ensure that everything is in compliance. We will follow up with our users on a later date once the illustration affected has been replaced and show our gratitude to users by providing compensation for the inconvenience.
Violation Summary: Breach of copyright representation and warranty;
Confirmation of element with unclear copyright ownership found inside an illustration.
Affected Illustration
- Still illustration unlocked in Eidos Equipment【Teach Me, Folker!】 (1st image, character in the far right)
※For all other released illustrations, we have confirmed through self-declaration by the responsible illustrator (Suamaru) that they comply with contractual representations and warranties.
Details Behind the Copyright Violation (Added Sept. 17, 2025)
Tool Used: The affected illustration was generated using Stable Diffusion (model: waiIllustrious).Features Used: ControlNet (canny) was used to import and integrate the post-review rough sketch’s configuration.
In the prompts, the illustrator specified the overall coloration and finer details. Then, the illustrator utilized the output, polishing and adding onto it as well as making corrections to the coloration and drawing up the differentiations.
*No specific work was traced back to the violation. We ask that everyone please refrain from making personal inquiries. We also ask that everyone please refrain from slander.
Our Concrete Corrective Measures Moving Forward (Added Sept. 17, 2025)
As for the affected illustration in question, the artwork itself is deemed as a collage of the illustrator’s own hand and the output results of Stable Diffusion (SD), meaning the illustrator was unable to state the deliverable in question was solely their work in full.
SD is an AI tool for generating illustrations. Its beta-model was based on a dataset consisting of image pairs (LAION-5B) and text describing the images (the artist, etc.). The sources used to train the AI were auto-collected by data scraping the Internet, with the majority of these sources being scraped without receiving proper permission from the copyright holders. We have determined that it would be impossible for the illustrator to have produced the same results if it were not for these sources used to train the AI and that the AI relies heavily on the use of unauthorized sources. Furthermore, given the existence of output results with strong similarities to the output at hand, we cannot deem this work as being the illustrator’s original work, but rather a collage of the output results based on the sources used by the AI.As such, we have decided to take the following corrective measures to combat this issue.
To prevent such copyright-infringing art from being made and used moving forward, we have asked Suamaru to pledge that they will thoroughly comply with their contractual obligations and to also specifically and completely stop using generative AI in their work.In the event that there are future violations made by our illustrators, we will quantitatively compare modifications flagged in our existing inspection and greenlighting process with previous works (such as spotting areas not touched up, forgetting to erase elements, etc.).*Note that no similar defects have been found in the deliverables submitted to us by our other creators.
The violation that was spotted involved a character within a still, and the inclusion and publication of the credits for it is contractually permitted. As such, it is not difficult to imagine that if this situation were overlooked, players and creators involved alike could feel stigmatized by this incident.
Most importantly of all, the artworks and “uniqueness” factor that our creators work so hard to put into those artworks are of immense value to us. In AnotherEidos R, we strive to ensure that our players truly feel their own libido when they come into contact with the creative touch that is reflected in the skill and sensitivities of their respective creators. To safeguard this highly valued creative edge, we will not allow for the weaking of our regulations which seek to protect it. Therefore, we will continue to take strict measures against any actions that undermine the quality of any and all products that go into AnotherEidos R.
Our Next Steps
Compensation
Once the replacement illustration is implementation, we will provide “Dragon Vein Stones ×4” as compensation to the accounts of users who possess the affected Eidos equipment.
Replacement Schedule
The affected illustration will be corrected by Suamaru as promptly as possible. We plain on implementing the revision once we have verified that it is in compliance.
Separately, we have also identified similar issues in unpublished illustrations slated for our currently ongoing event. However, the replacements for these affected illustrations are to be implemented after the event has concluded (sometime in November 2025). Please be aware that the replacements will occur after the release of these new illustrations.
AnotherEidosR prioritizes, above all else, having our creators provide memorable artwork to our adventurers.
While we ask all adventurers to comply with our Terms of Service and Copyright Guidelines, we take this situation that has arisen very seriously and will work to prevent this from happening again.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by this issue.
